I’m a pediatric nurse with over five years of emergency department experience, and my passion is empowering parents to feel confident through education and knowledge sharing. I have a master’s degree in both nursing and business, and I’m a Child Passenger Safety Technician. When I became a momma myself, I discovered there were so many aspects of parenting that weren’t talked about regularly and openly. I firmly believe feeling confident as a parent is all about information and knowing your resources, so I wanted to create a space that invited questions and provided answers. My ambition is to create a community built on a foundation of education that allows each family to feel confident in navigating their own individualized journeys in parenthood.

In my spare time, I love being a wife to my husband Josh and a momma to Luke. As a family we enjoy travel, anything outdoors, and all things sports. We have a heart for Jesus and love our local church. The idea for Empowered Beginnings is rooted in Jeremiah 29:11 which says, "'For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'" Educating parents is my purpose, and I’m excited to share this information with you. I look forward to helping you achieve an empowered beginning to parenting!
